Request for Proposal: Align your existing resources with upskilling and reskilling needs

Organizations like yours work with communities across the country and are experts in tailored training solutions. Build on your expertise to contribute to Canada’s green economy!

We need your help to develop materials that align with the upskilling and reskilling needs of small, rural, remote, and northern communities. But not everything has to start from zero!

Help us to modify or adapt your existing materials. As a leader in your field, modify or adapt your existing materials to be used to deliver customized training solutions that ensure Canadians don’t have to leave their communities to find sustainable employment opportunities.

Be a part of a program designed to meet the unique economic challenges and skills needs of communities with a population of less than 10,000 people.

NOTE: Applications should be submitted by organizations that will work with a college or institute.

Green Pathways for Small Communities will help rural, remote, and northern communities diversify and grow their economies, adopt sustainable and green workforce solutions, provide opportunities for community members to develop their own skills, and help local businesses remain competitive.

Through the program, over 100 people in communities with a population of less than 10,000 will develop skills to enhance their employment profiles, including 75% from groups traditionally underrepresented in the workforce.

This project is funded by Employment and Social Development Canada.
