Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) members are invited to nominate students who have participated in a Global Skills Opportunity (GSO) experience to participate in this year’s CICan on the Hill. The focus of the annual event will be international education, which will highlight the GSO program and its value to students. Student participants will each participate in two of the day’s meetings which could take the form of roundtables, or small group meetings with Members of Parliament, Senators, political staff, or senior public officials.
The GSO students will be the VIPs for the evening’s reception where they will be joined by their counterparts from universities to meet MPs, Senators, public officials and other key actors in Ottawa. The students will be invited to mingle with attendees and share their experiences with GSO and how their study and/or work abroad experience has enhanced their lives and careers.
Select students may also be asked to participate in GSO activities on October 4, 2023.
Students’ travel, and accommodations will be provided for by CICan.
Institutions can only nominate one student to participate.
