Ottawa, May 7, 2018 – Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) is thrilled to announce the winners of its 2018 Art Showcase competition.
Over 100 students from across the country took part in this year’s competition. The winners were selected by participants at CICan’s Annual Conference, in Victoria. Delegates were invited to vote for their favorite piece in each of the following categories: printmaking, textile, mixed media, or sculpture; photography; digital Illustration or animation; painting; and drawing.
“Canada’s colleges and institutes host some of the most creative and talented students in the world, and this year’s showcase proves it once again”, said CICan president and CEO, Denise Amyot. “I am always so impressed to see the extraordinary talent in the different submissions we receive. We are privileged to have an office decorated by these amazing works.”
The 2018 CICan Art Showcase winners are:

The winner in each category will receive a cash prize of $350 and have their work displayed on the walls of CICan’s office in Ottawa. The winners in each category will also be displayed on the CICan website.
