Help design climate faculty training that will maximize the impact of the college and institute sector.
Faculty training modules will ensure that instructors are equipped with climate-relevant knowledge and vocabulary to pass on to their students. Be one of 18 colleges and institutes to help us develop these new training resources!
Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) is inviting members to submit an Expression of Interest to help develop new faculty training modules on greening the construction disciplines. The modules will help college and institute instructors in Electrical, Carpentry, Landscaping, Design, and HVAC programs of study increase their knowledge of greenhouse-gas emissions and teach students about how their respective fields impact climate change. They will also help integrate Indigenous ways of knowing into curriculum in the five disciplines.

NOTE: To make these faculty training modules a success, we need input from colleges and institutes, experts in climate change and sustainability, as well as traditional knowledge keepers. This request for expression of interest for colleges and institutes is one of two.
This request for proposal is part of CICan’s ImpAct-Climate project, a five-year pan-Canadian initiative to increase awareness greenhouse gas emissions and promote behaviour change to reduce emissions in the college and institute sector.
