Help design climate faculty training that will maximize the impact of the college and institute sector.
Faculty training modules will ensure that instructors are equipped with climate-relevant knowledge and vocabulary to pass on to their students. Be one of the experts in the construction industry to help us develop these new training resources!
Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) is inviting experts in climate change or sustainability to submit an Expression of Interest to help develop new faculty training modules on greening the construction disciplines. The modules will help college and institute instructors in Electrical, Carpentry, Landscaping, Design, and HVAC programs of study increase their knowledge of greenhouse-gas emissions and teach students about how their respective fields impact climate change. They will also help integrate Indigenous ways of knowing into curriculum in the five disciplines.
New Deadline: October 3, 2022.
NOTE: To make these faculty training modules a success, we need input from both colleges and institutes, as well as Knowledge Keepers/ holders AND experts in climate change/ sustainability. This request for proposals from experts in climate change/ sustainability AND in Indigenous ways of knowing is one of two.
This request for proposal is part of CICan’s ImpAct-Climate project, a five-year pan-Canadian initiative to increase awareness greenhouse gas emissions and promote behaviour change to reduce emissions in the college and institute sector.
Proposals must be submitted using the form below and must include the signing authority’s contact information.
