CICan is one of the founding members of the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) and its President, Denise Amyot, has served for two terms as the Chair of the WFCP.
With a membership that spans the globe, the WFCP is mandated to collectively influence and advocate for policy development in all areas of applied education. The Federation is a strong network of associations, educational institutions and individuals that share best practices and support partnership development.
Enhancing International Education
The Federation aims to strengthen international education through strong partnerships amongst members, in addition to shared learning opportunities. In 2014-15, WFCP launched seven affinity groups, which give members a forum to network with their international peers, share best practices and adopt methods to increase workforce employability of professional and technical education and training graduates. WFCP members also meet bi-annually for regular congresses to ensure face-to-face networking and learning opportunities.
