CICan is organizing a national student Hackathon, an event where students will come together to learn the importance of Skills for Success in their career development and collaborate to help design a new interactive online tool for Canadians. Participants will receive an honorarium and host institutions will receive funding to run the event on their campus.
This new tool, part of CICan’s Mapping Skills for Success program, will help Canadians create personalized career pathways by identifying their skills, understanding gaps, and connecting them with labour market insights and relevant training—from micro-credentials to postgraduate degrees—offered by CICan member colleges and institutes.
CICan is inviting member institutions to host the in-person segments of the hackathon on their campus while connecting virtually to other host institutions, speakers, and industry professionals. Are you an expert in Skills for Success? One member institution will be selected to collaborate with us to help develop a lesson plan and key activities for the event.
