Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) invites our member institutions to deliver new upskilling microcredentials in high-growth sectors including clean technology, advanced manufacturing, and agricultural technology. Developed by consortia of colleges and institutes in collaboration with industry experts, these programs are tailored to meet workforce needs, bridge talent gaps, and provide rapid pathways to employment.
These turnkey programs are now ready for delivery to mid-career workers in your community! They leverage work-integrated learning and have been reviewed by equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) specialists to improve accessibility. Subsidized and tailored for flexible delivery options, they meet the needs of participants, industry, and institutions alike.
Why Participate?
Short Program Duration: Microcredentials are completed within 16 weeks.
Flexible Delivery Options: Recommendations provided for each program to suit different institution, industry, and participant needs (e.g., in-person, hybrid, virtual).
Funding Available: Subsidized tuition for up to 1,000 mid-career workers nationwide, requiring only a minimal $200 participation fee.
Turnkey Course Content: Programs are ready to deliver with accessible LMS options and implementation support provided.

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, but early submissions are encouraged to ensure access to funding. All training must be completed by March 1, 2026, to align with the project funding timeline.
Important Note: Due to funding restrictions beyond our control, this project is not currently funded in Quebec. However, members in Quebec will have full access to these programs and be able to deliver them once they are made available as open educational resources.
