This initiative brings together CICan members to develop and deliver new microcredentials aimed at upskilling workers in high-growth sectors, including agricultural technology, advanced manufacturing, and clean technology.
Not only will these microcredentials help bridge skills gaps, equipping mid-career workers with the expertise needed to excel in emerging and in-demand sectors, but they will also contribute to strengthening Canada’s economy, ensuring its resilience and growth for the future.
Key Features:
- Focused Training: Short, impactful upskilling paths, each completed within 16 weeks, tailored to the needs of each sector.
- Industry Collaboration: Co-created curricula with industry partners to ensure training meets current labour market demands.
- Real-world Experience: Learners put their new skills to immediate use through virtual simulations and industry-based activities, reinforcing their learning and enhancing their job readiness.
- Wide Impact: CICan members across the country will initially upskill 1,000 workers, plus more when the training becomes open education resources.
