As indicated in our International Strategic Plan, we have started the process of reviewing our Education for Employment (EFE) approach in international programs.
The first step we have worked on is the request for proposals process, with the aim of simplifying, harmonizing and streamlining this process.
We would now like to present the results of our work and receive your comments. You are therefore invited to our webinars on Wednesday 24 May 2023, from 1 to 2.30 p.m. (in French) and from 3 to 4.30 p.m. (in English). Your opinion is very important to us!
As a reminder, the EFE approach was designed in consultation with colleges and our partners in Asia, Francophone and Anglophone Africa, and Latin America based on over 20 years of experience as well as on CIDA’s evaluation of the CCPP program.
Fourteen ECE programs have been implemented since 2008, involving 194 institutional partnerships with our members and 72 colleges working in 23 countries.
Over these 15 years of implementation, we have learned many lessons and made adjustments along the way. This new review is a joint effort of CICan’s two EFE teams, under the joint leadership of Marie-Josée Fortin and Caroline Marrs. The main objectives of this review are to better respond to members’ needs and ideas, and to better fulfil our common mission to help equip young people around the world with the skills they need to find meaningful work.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Marie-Josée and Caroline
