Call for Proposals: Submit an innovative project to reduce barriers to studying or working abroad

Innovation is a key component of the Global Skills Opportunity program. That includes testing approaches that can make opportunities to work or study abroad more accessible.

Member institutions of Colleges and Institutes Canada are invited to submit proposals for mobility-focused innovation projects that will test different tools, supports, and services to develop inclusive opportunities to study and work.

Deadline: May 12.

Priority will be given to proposals that are scalable with potential to have a systemic impact on the ability of several post-secondary institutions to reduce barriers to participation for their students and build their capacity to deliver safe and enriching outbound student mobility experiences.

This call for proposals is the second launched through the Global Skills Opportunity Innovation Fund. In 2021, a first call provided funding to 47 colleges and institutes to implement 69 projects, including piloting virtual mobility, testing new wrap-around support services, developing risk management policies, enhancing recruitment strategies, and developing new institutional partnerships.

Questions should be sent to the Global Skills Opportunity Team. Frequently asked questions will be updated weekly.
