Supporting Those Who Serve ensures that veterans and their families across the country have access quality services and highly trained service providers. The program uses the strengths of the Canada’s largest postsecondary network to develop a talent pipeline solution addressing recruitment and retention challenges identified by Veterans Affairs Canada.

Supporting Those Who Serve links colleges and institutes with VAC field offices to raise awareness about careers as Veteran Service Agents and Case Managers and offer work-integrated learning opportunities. The program provides a framework for colleges and institutes to adapt their high-quality training to VAC’s needs.

The VAC-WIL Online Guide is the one-stop destination for VAC field offices hiring college and institute students for work placements. The guide helps students better understand the roles and responsibility of Veterans Service Agents (VSA) and Case Managers (CM) and makes it easier for hiring managers to find talent.
