Founded in 1970, Douglas College provides educational experiences that challenge, enlighten and open doors to lives of passion and purpose. It is the largest degree-granting college in B.C., with two main campuses, one in New Westminster, on the traditional territory of the qiqéyt (QayQayt) First Nation, and the other in Coquitlam, on the traditional territory of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) First Nation. It also has multiple training centres throughout Metro Vancouver that offer employment–focused programs.
As an applied institution, Douglas College graduates resilient global citizens with the knowledge and skills to adapt, lead and innovate in a changing world. Its unique combination of a practical and academic focus is reflected in the motto: “Do what you love. Be good at it.”
Douglas College offers bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, post-degree and graduate diplomas, certificates and university-transfer courses. The College’s six faculties include Applied Community Studies; Commerce and Business Administration; Health Sciences; Humanities and Social Sciences; Language, Literature and Performing Arts; and Science and Technology.
